Bring layered clothing, a good pair of hiking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, reusable water bottle, travel adapter (Mongolia uses 220V), basic meds, and cash in local currency (tögrög).


Layered clothing is best due to Mongolia’s sudden temperature swings. Include a windproof jacket, breathable shirts, comfortable pants, a hat, and many socks for changing.


Despite the unforgettable cultural experiences and scenery, please expect basic rural facilities, long drives, and traffic. Amenities can be limited outside cities. 


 Yes, though limited in rural areas. Ulaanbaatar has more variety, but it’s best to inform your guide in advance and bring snacks or supplements if you have strict dietary needs. 


 Yes, Mongolia is generally safe for travelers. Pickpocketing can occur in the city, so take normal precautions. Rural areas are peaceful, and locals are very welcoming.
